Quotes:
Let's talk money. Is it true that last year you earnt US$48m in endorsements?
"Yeah, I'm doing pretty good, ha ha. I'm involved in a lot of different projects, G-Unit clothing did $55 million in its first year, and I created a five-year plan for G-Unit records and accomplished it in six months."

Are you the richest guy in rap?
"I'm one of the richest rappers. But I'm actually with Eminem's label so when I sell a record he makes a lot of money. But I've grossed over $100 million."

The Game told us he keeps an AK47 under his sofa. Any weaponry hidden around your house?
"No, but I don't believe he was telling the truth. He just says things for shock value. He does that to make people think he's a gangster but he's not. I don't say things like that because law enforcement might be reading, but I'm well protected."

What's funny about that. Aren't you concerned?
"It doesn't matter.
They're not gonna decide how I live my life. If you allow another person to worry you, you can't have a good time. I'm successful and for me to let someone make me concerned, what's the point?"

You once got stabbed in a ruck with Ja Rule's guys?
"They tried to make it seem like I got stabbed, it was a scratch. When I see somebody get stabbed, I see somebody keeled over. Some magazine said I was stabbed; I had three stitches. We were fighting and I didn't know if I backed into something in the studio or whether someone actually cut me. They said that to try and make themselves look tough."

You played Reading Festival last year and were bottled off?
"They threw bottles at everybody! I'd go back to the Reading Festival this year. Plus they paid me $545,000 to be there and I only performed for 15 minutes because they threw stuff.
But that was actually one of my best gigs. But most of it didn't reach the stage, it landed in the pit. But I kinda liked that crowd
at Reading, cause it was rowdy."

Finally then, who would win a mass brawl between you, Eminem and The Game?
"Me. Of course I would win. And if I lost, people would come back afterwards and shoot them."

50 Cent's Upcoming Video Game
Wednesday - September 28, 2005
With 50 Cent's new venture in the video game world coming this holiday season with his new game "50 Cent: Bulletproof", the rapper is giving consumers an incentive to get their copies reserved now via a free exclusive DVD that will accompany their pre-order of his video game.
50 Cent Biography:
50 Cent is currently one of the most well-known and commercially successful rappers of the decade. Because the success of an artist in gangsta rap often depends on street credibility and reputation, Interscope Records has sold 50 Cent as the "real deal". His mother was killed in a drug deal. He has been shot nine times, and he built a large rap empire in New York City before ever signing a major record deal.

50 Cent's continued success seems guaranteed by his large underground fanbase and the street credibility he has gained by appearing on almost every major mix tape sold in New York in the past few years. The rapper, who was the first to sign to Shady Records, was scouted before knowing Eminem. He is currently signed to record label Eminem's Shady Records and Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment.

Eminem first encountered 50 Cent with MTV News reporter Sway Calloway, apparently having not heard any of his performances before seeing him in person. He then appeared on the 8 Mile soundtrack with an accompanying song and video ("Wanksta") that immediately went into heavy rotation on BET, MTV, and radio stations across the country.
Before signing to Interscope, 50 Cent was living with his grandparents. He soon became immersed in the drug trade, hustling around his native neighborhood by the name of "Boo Boo" with fellow Queens native Tony Yayo. In June of 1994, Jackson was arrested on felony drug charges. Being a second time offender, Jackson was able to plead out of significant prison time by accepting seven months in a "shock incarceration" boot camp. He would later boast about this period as his doing "seven to nine." He became a father to a son, Marquise, in 1997.
Jackson met up with Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC fame and was signed to his label JMJ. Once Jay had taught him the basics, 50 left the label in search of someone who could help him achieve his dream of rap stardom. He teamed up with the hip-hop production duo Track Masters, who had recognized his talent for incisive lyrics. 50 Cent was signed to Columbia Records in 1999.
"How to Rob", the humorous ode to robbing a slew of industry rappers, was an instant hit for New York radio. His debut album Power of the Dollar was never released, due to his shooting in 2000 that Columbia Records used as incentive to drop 50 Cent.

50 Cent's 2003 album Get Rich or Die Tryin was a top-seller, propelled by the hit song "In Da Club" and by support from hip-hop superstars Eminem and Dr. Dre. 50 Cent's troubled past was part of the package: he was raised by his grandparents after his drug-dealing mother died, and in 2000 he survived being shot 9 times. Before his mainstream breakthrough he was popular in clubs and on the streets, thanks to locally distributed tapes. Although it didn't get national airplay, his Power of a Dollar (1999) was an underground hit, as was his earlier single "Thug Love." His second album, 2005's The Massacre, was almost overshadowed by 50 Cent's public feud with fellow rapper and protegé, The Game.
