Paris Hilton Album: Paris

While Kimberly Stewart continues voice lessons in hopes of someday launching a music career, her good friend Paris Hilton is beating her to the punch in covering one of her father's tunes.

On her as-yet-untitled debut album, Hilton will include a rendition of Rod Stewart's disco hit "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?"

Hilton revealed the song selection to Hong Kong magazine Prestige, noting that her album will mix reggae, pop and hip-hop elements.

"The whole album has so much different music on it," said Hilton, who shot her first video, for the reggae-oriented "Stars Are Blind," on a Malibu, California, beach last week. "I like all music. It's not like I only like pop or only rock. I want to have something for everybody."

Hilton was initially hesitant to make the album but eventually warmed up to the recording studio and even wrote the lyrics to seven of her songs.

"I have always had a voice and always known I could sing, but I was too shy to let it come out," she told Prestige. "I think that is the hardest thing you can do, to sing in front of people. When I finally let go and did it, I realized it is what I am most talented at and what I love to do the most."

Hilton has worked on the album with a variety of producers and songwriters, including Scott Storch, Kara DioGuardi and Dr. Luke, who co-wrote Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone."

"I know a lot of the record she did with Scott Storch, which is more, like, hip-hop-based," said Luke, who plays guitar in the "Saturday Night Live" band as Lukasz Gottwald. "I kinda didn't want to go that way. I wanted to go more fun, and I tried to do something unique."

Luke wrote one song for the hotel heiress' debut with Shep Solomon, who has worked with Clarkson and Britney Spears.

"It's called 'Nothing in This World,' and it has elements of Prince, Blondie and Kylie Minogue," Luke said. "I had a lot of fun. I did the first and second single for this group called the Veronicas, [who] are on [Hilton's label] Warner Bros., so they asked me to write something for that. And I was, like, doing some sh--, and all of a sudden I call the A&R guy, and he's like, 'Hang on, stay there at the studio!' And then he brings [Paris] over, and it was cool. She heard it right away and loved it."

Hilton's album is due in the fall. Dr. Luke, meanwhile, is writing for Clarkson's next album and just finished working with British rapper Lady Sovereign and a few new artists.

"That's really the focus for me," he said of his up-and-comers. "Like when Max [Martin] did Britney Spears, it was, like, you get all the credit. It's not like they were on 'American Idol' and you wrote a song."
